I'm actually quite alive Professor, despite your best efforts to the contrary. The car bomb was a nice touch though...

Well it's been an eventful few weeks I suppose. I passed all my classes last semester and got into the class at UMHB. (Which I was told by the natives is in fact pronounced: úooh-m--hhúǼ'b ) The class was actually pretty damn cool. Got some good work out of it, but, well... They can't all be winners. Working in Watercolor with McClanahan (Sp.? [Yeah I'm actually that lazy I won't browse over and look up his name.] ) and the class is going ok, but in a totally awkward I-bet-you-believe-I-think-you-don't-know-shite kind of way. This after I had to go over his head to get into the aforesaid class at ÜMH'B at the end of the previous semester. So it's a big 3-hour a day lump sum of every debt I've accrued with our beloved chairman here in the art inlet of the Bay of Lore. Of course I wouldn't care what he thinks except for the fact that I'm a famously paranoid individual, just ask Carol... That is if she hasn't already set in motion the plans to finish me off once and for all... >_>

Whether or not you're as confused as I am by that last paragraph, here's some images of what I've accomplished in my eight week absence:

The Golden Child - Eddie Murphy + 4( Guy from Frances the Mute Album Cover - Legs) + discount Pier 1 creepy-eye nightstand = Art. God I love science.

Baby's First Quantum Entanglement

I like to think of it more as a "Whoo-hoo!dcut." ROFLROFLROFL

Some folks saw this at the BEE!!!-ville... but hell it 's on the internet now!! How fantastic is that?!

Not for class... Unless it turns out awesome. Which it might... but it might also gather dust for decades unless I get to work. (oh god I sound almost.... responsible o_o)

Class assignment of go back into the past, via philisophic-scientific-bullshitstic rift in space-time continuum, paint a picture for a famous artist, have them take credit, and then paint it again so that you can learn their technique.

William Blake owes me a lot of Dr. Pepper.

And that's it till I find and or make more / get off my ass and post. So g'night!

I haven't internet shit in two weeks, this is gonna hurt.

So it's been a fun few weeks round "tha' 'Co," gotten many things done, not done, and lost. Heres just almost everything I've been doing lately.

And in some non-3d stuff. Three out of a total 4 paintings. Only the first is finished... but I've got a week to finish the others.... It's called stress people.

So.... Last few weeks have been pretty productive. Got another two pieces finished and fired, though blue slip is unfortunately very similar in color and texture to white slip, and Ive now got a little drybrushed blue on my second piece from last post. Blech. Also I've built something in steel.... And it's my new best friend ever:
Photo by the beautiful and wonderfully talented Carol! The piece is 7 feet tall and acts as a semi accurate balance. Hopefully I'll find someone on da ebay or anywheres else that will buy it... as I really don't have room for the thing in my apt. It's a conundrum. Speaking of work that I have made and wish to part with:
I made these macquettes at the beggining of the semester, some are much better than others... but they are all free to a good home. Use them as a paper weight! Throw them at your parents! The possibilities are nearly numerous!

I'll have painting stuff up here sooooon. That and some of the other new shite in CRAY.

I got a couple pieces in the student show, so I'm as satiated as an artist can be with an ego that has a "FEED ME!!! MORE MORE!!!" outlook on life. Heres a photo.
CAN YOU HANDLE IT?!!!! .... *cough* It's a bit of a clunker. But I like it enough. Though... This one's got it beat on weight, size, and my never-ending love.

6'4" Ginger Art Society is proud to present:
Jason Tanner's Internet Mis-adventures with Blogging!!!:
Vol1: OH GOOD GOD THEY CAN SEE ME..... o_o

So... yeah I've started an artblog of my artistic things... that I do. I know what you are thinking, what will I, Jason Allen Tanner, mere child of 23, do when confronted with the overwhelming mega super awesome secret kickass success that this venture will bring? Will I curl into a ball and slowly whimper to God for an end to a misunderstood dream now become reality?! Will I snap like the smallest and weakest of tree limbs with a small crack and then a much larger crack if there was a person on it?! Will I become confused and outlandish, slowly my mind wasting to nothing, and through wild acts of vandalism and the most unpleasant forms of public exposure finally drive myself stark raving mad until I'm a hollow and withered corn husk of an animal?! NO!!!!! I assure you, (ie: those that haven't closed the window and checked out something more entertaining like the food-network's website... I bet that's pretty awesome.) my loving and adoring public, that I will only become stronger, filled with vitality from each and every wonderful indivdual who makes their way here. I will grow plentiful and happy upon this bounty, and give praise. (Amen) With this, I am most pleased.
With this in mind I begin my journal of art stuff. May god have mercy on us all.
